Marketpay next to the other ways to run a market.
Marketspread and ManageMyMarket are real products used by real markets, and this page is not going to pretend otherwise. They are paid, subscription-based tools. Marketpay is free. Here is what each one is for, and what each one does, as best we can tell from their public sites.
Every feature, every organizer, no account to start. Public page, applications, booths, check-in, announcements, reminders, vendor portal, CSV export. No booth fee payments yet.
A paid, subscription-based market management platform. Best for organizers who want vendor payments and a larger feature catalog, and are fine paying a subscription for it.
A paid, subscription-based tool for farmers market vendor management. Best for established farmers markets that already run on it and want a vendor-facing account system.
A Google Sheet, a form, an inbox and a group text. What most markets use today. Best for a market with a handful of vendors and one organizer who never loses a thread.
What each one does.
Where we are not certain what a paid tool includes, the cell says so rather than guessing.

When you should pick something else.
If you need to collect booth fees inside the tool today, or you want vendor accounts with logins, a longer feature catalog, or a vendor with a sales team, a paid tool may be worth every dollar. If your market has six vendors and one organizer who never loses an email, a spreadsheet is fine. Marketpay wins when you want the public page, the applications and market day handled well, from your phone, without a subscription or a seat count. And trying it costs nothing: there is no account to create and export is a CSV.
- Marketpay: free, no seats, no account to start
- Paid tools: booth fee payments, vendor logins
- Spreadsheets: fine until the second organizer
