This Privacy Policy explains how r-marketplace (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use our Reddit application (the “App”). The App operates entirely within Reddit’s platform and uses Reddit infrastructure for posts, images, and identity/authentication. We do not operate an external consumer database for App users.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
No off-Reddit storage. We do not store, retain, or maintain user personal information outside of Reddit systems.
Reddit account data. Any account information (e.g., username) that appears in the App is provided by Reddit via its platform and is displayed within Reddit. We do not export or store this information off-platform.
Listings, posts, images, reviews, and reports. These are Reddit user-generated content (“UGC”) that live on Reddit’s infrastructure. We do not host them outside Reddit.
Payments. The App does not process payments. Buyers and sellers may share links to third-party services (e.g., Venmo, Cash App, eBay, Shopify, Stripe); we do not receive or store payment information.
Cookies/trackers. The App does not place any off-Reddit cookies or trackers. Any telemetry is controlled by Reddit and subject to Reddit’s policies.
Because we do not collect or store personal information outside Reddit, our use is limited to in-App functionality inside Reddit: displaying marketplace listings and UGC; enabling features like locks, featured listings, ratings/reviews, and moderation tools; and enforcing subreddit/App rules inside Reddit.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share data with third parties except as necessary to operate inside Reddit or as required by law. UGC and usernames you choose to display are visible to other Reddit users per Reddit’s normal behavior and settings.
Any external links (e.g., Venmo, Cash App, eBay, Shopify, Stripe, personal websites) are not affiliated with us. Your use of those services is governed by those providers’ terms and privacy policies. We do not receive, process, or control those data flows.
We do not maintain separate off-Reddit databases of user data. Content availability and retention are controlled by Reddit. Moderators may remove content per subreddit rules.
We rely on Reddit’s platform security for hosting and identity. We do not operate external servers for end-user data related to the App.
The App is intended for users who meet Reddit’s minimum age requirements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; we conduct no off-platform collection.
The App runs on Reddit’s infrastructure. Any cross-border data transfers are governed by Reddit’s policies, not ours.
Use Reddit’s account controls and privacy settings. Remove, edit, or report content through Reddit’s native tools and subreddit moderation.
We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a new version within the App or linked documentation on Reddit. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
